Deviant Friday – Jeremy Mohler Edition

If you’re into RPGs, surely you’ve seen Mohler’s work (JerMohler on DeviantArt). The genres he has worked in are wide reaching (well, in terms of RPGs) and he produces strong line work and often vibrant colors that remind me a bit of Bilibin. Best of all, I think, he breaks the Maxim mold on modern depictions of women in RPGs and comic books.

Here are a few pieces of Mohler’s to enjoy …

Deviant Friday – Jeff Axer Edition

Jeff, or JayAxer on DeviantArt, has a really beautiful sense of color and line – flowing and bright and inviting. He does a lot of “furry” art, which isn’t really my cup of tea, but I can’t deny the talent and the creativity even with those pieces. I’d love to see him illustrate a revised edition of Talislanta.

Chaotic: Ahnem Colours

Tech Armor Fighter

Masked Female Fighter

Desert Cavern

Chaotic: Ylinne Colours

Chaotic: Kemmosh Colours

Deviant Friday – janaschi edition

Say what you might about Magic: The Gathering, but it certainly keeps artists busy. One of those artists is janaschi, who does some really nice color work – pretty women in the anime/elven vein – a fantasy artist I would put in the Todd Lockwood school.

Short gallery today – check it out. Later – Space Princess aliens and maybe tonight one of the most powerful super heroes ever conceived given Mystery Men! stats.

Deviant Friday – Caleb Cleveland Edition

Mr. Cleveland first came to my attention with the work he did in Kingdoms of Kalamar way back when. He is on DeviantArt as innerabove, with lots of new material as well. Always a good level of detail and a great eye for composition.

Ben McSweeney – InkThinker on DeviantArt – does some nice, professional work. I think it’s some of the best line work I’ve ever seen, and the detail is excellent. Check it out.

Deviant Friday – Ilias Kyriazis Edition

Some fun stuff today from iliaskrzs today – superheroes, fantasy and a wee bit o’sci-fi. One of the things I like best about Ilias – for the most part, the women he draws aren’t 50% silicon by volume. Enjoy, lads and lasses …

Deviant Friday – Ig Guara Barros Edition

igbarros does some really nice work – nice lines, nice colors. You can find many samples of his pencil skills in his DeviantArt gallery – check it out. I love his versions of the old DnD cartoon characters, and would love to see his takes on the rest of the cast. The image after the jump break is NSFW, by the way, so take care gentle traveler.
